GETC Wins Trial for Hospital and Physicians

After a ten-day trial in the Circuit Court for Sumner County, starting in March and stretching into April 2022, GETC attorneys Bryan Essary and Kim Kinsler, along with co-Defendants’ counsel, obtained a unanimous verdict in favor of the hospital and three individually named physicians. The jury unanimously held the defendants did not deviate from the recognized standard of acceptable professional practice in their care of a patient’s severe hyponatremia and other serious medical conditions.  The jury further expressly found the defendants did not cause the patient’s Osmotic Demyelination Syndrome (Central Pontine Myelinolysis) and related complaints.
