On October 25, 2024, after a two (2) week trial,  C. J. Gideon, Jr. and J. Blake Carter obtained a unanimous verdict in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee,  in favor of two (2) Obstetricians charged with failing to make a diagnosis of pre-eclampsia with severe features, and failing to timely deliver a 35- week infant, leading to permanent, life-long brain damage and disability for the child.
