After a seven day jury trial in January 2017, in Gallatin, TN, GCE attorneys Dixie W. Cooper and Randa Von Gibson obtained a unanimous verdict in favor of their client, a Gallatin based surgeon. The Plaintiff’s wrongful death case alleged failure to timely diagnose and treat a bowel perforation following a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and sought damages for the death of her husband. The jury unanimously found for GCE’s client, finding that the surgeon met the applicable standard of care.
